For a senior-level CAD course, students were tasked with modeling a complete mechanical system. My teammate and I chose to model the Scorpion Tank from the Halo series, a four-tread armored vehicle.

 

The full assembly was developed in SolidWorks and included the chassis, turret system, tread assemblies, driver compartment, and weapon systems.

 

The final deliverables included a full assembly model, detailed manufacturing drawings, tolerance analysis, collision checks, basic FEA, animation, and a bill of materials.
