NYU Rogue Aerospace
NYU Rogue Aerospace is a student-led rocketry team focused on designing, manufacturing, and launching high-power rockets. The team operates as a engineering group where students develop propulsion systems, structures, avionics, and ground testing infrastructure.
Manufacturing Lead Engineer
As Manufacturing Lead for NYU Rogue Aerospace, I coordinate fabrication for the team’s rocket program. I work with all sub-teams to translate designs into manufacturable components using in-house machining, composite layups, and rapid prototyping.
My role focuses on ensuring parts are design to be manufacturable, documented, and machining timelines.
CNC Nose Tips:
-
Programmed and machined on CNC lathe
-
Maintained tight concentricity and surface finish for aerodynamic profile
-
Integrated with composite body tube structure
Manual Machining
-
Machined simple components using manual lathe and mill
-
Worked with tight tolerances for press fits and threaded interfaces
-
Produced custom bushings, adapters, and mounting hardware
